March Madness 2023 has arrived at PS 179! This month we are running two competitions simultaneously!
Students in classes will be asked to read at least 15 minutes a night, each night and log it. Classes will record their progress weekly and on March 31st the student(s) who logged the most time will be crowned Champion and will receive a special prize.
Our ACEs competition will begin on March 6th. Every week our classes will battle it out to see who has the best attendance.
- Our Sweet 16 week begins with special treats for every student.
- Next, our Elite 8 Week will crown an "All-Star" class for the previous week and the classes with the Top 8 Attendance percentages will be highlighted.
- Then, our Final 4 week begins with another "All-Star" Monday Team crowned and the Top 4 Attendance percentages will be highlighted.
- Finally, Championship Week begins with our final "All-Star" class being crowned and our Champions being crowned for the month. All winners will receive prized weekly and our ACEs students will all receive something a little extra!
